Wish You Were Here

We’re happily settled in at Catalina State Park, on the outskirts of Tucson at the base of the Santa Catalina Mountains – the awning is out, the satellite is up, our little RV lights are glowing, and copper stars point the way to our door. The campground is not crowded and the sites are well spaced so it’s quiet. We’re looking forward to hiking and biking, seeing the Hohokam Indian ruins, visiting the Dooley family and enjoying the mountain views. There are tenters and other Rvers of course, ranging from a sweet little Airstream to the mammoth Phaetons, a high class Class A. We saw our first jackrabbit!

Wow, I am so jealous. What a great adventure you are having. We miss you a bunch. If you get a chance, go see "Into the Wild," the story about Chris McCandless who left the life he knew to wander the wilderness. Of course, he died after 3 months...bonehead...but the spirit of the adventure is compelling.

Love you - Diana

Having just seen Laurina this week, I wanted to say that YOUR READERS WANT MORE POSTS!!!! Laurina, you look wonderful, with a glow that comes from within. The nomadic life clearly agrees with you, and I suspect Bobby is similarly aglow. I hope to rendezvous with you somewhere along your path. Looking forward to seeing this blog GRO--O-O--W! You'll never regret a minute of time spent recording this amazing journey. Love, Leslie
